Tool Time

Just found these photos circa 1995.  Allow me to explain…

My Dad grew up with Tim the Tool Man Taylor, aka Tim Allen, here in Denver and the two have remained friends since childhood. A few times during Home Improvement’s eight-year run my Dad and some of his friends would go out to visit Tim in California.  In 1995 or so my Dad and friends went to a taping of the show.  Proof? An autographed script and these photos!

These photos led to a great deal of brief popularity and elaborate lies in 5th grade.  My 10-year-old self thought - my dad is friends with Tim - Tim works with JTT - JTT is soooooooooooooooooo hot - my dad can introduce me to JTT, he’ll fall in love with me, AND I can guest star as his girlfriend on the show while making it big in Hollywood!  This delusional and convincing thought process also meant that I told my entire class I was going to meet JTT and if they were lucky I could probably introduce them too.

I never did meet JTT and even if I had my diabolical and brilliant plan wouldn’t have worked anyway:
